For the first time in many SEO’s careers, Google may not be the future of search. It’s an uncertain and ever-changing search landscape, with AI Overviews taking over more SERPs and users utilising LLMs as search platforms. How do we prepare now for the new organic traffic sources that are important for our industries, when these next generation of search engines may not even have been built yet? Helen will discuss the most impactful changes on the horizon for SEO within the AI landscape and how these might affect their specific industry type. We will look at examples from ecommerce, regulated industries, marketplaces and informational sites. You will leave this session with a list of things you can work on right now while keeping on-course including reporting on SEO achievements beyond Google searches and clicks, including measuring AI search engine traffic and social media impact as well as championing other search platforms within your company and moving the focus away from “SEO = Google”.
