VP Analytics & CMO
Alex Schultz (he/him/his) is Chief Marketing Officer and VP of Analytics for Meta, formerly Facebook, leading consumer marketing and product analytics globally. Alex brings nearly two decades of direct response marketing experience to his CMO role, and is responsible for the global consumer marketing organization, promoting Meta’s brands, products and services.
Alex also leads the analytics team (since 2015), and the internationalization team (since 2011), helping launch many of the company’s most impactful products and initiatives. He pioneered the integration of product and direct response marketing at Facebook and has run the biggest, most effective online direct response campaigns in the company’s history, helping grow the Facebook app, Instagram and Messenger to over a billion users.
Alex is gay and is the executive sponsor of Facebook’s LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group. He holds an M.Sc. in Natural Sciences from Magdalene College, Cambridge, specializing in experimental and theoretical Physics. Alex hails from — and lives— in London.
