In October 2015, Carsten Rauh took over the management of the Bing Ads Strategic Sales business unit as Director Search Advertising. Rauh, born in 1974, began his professional career as an online media manager at Plan.Net Media. There he made a major contribution to the strategic and operational online media planning before joining IDG Entertainment Media GmbH in 2007. At the computerized media services provider, he was responsible for the online ads of various publications. Two years later he began working as Agency Group Head at the Internet company Yahoo!, where he was responsible for global network agencies. After four years in this position, Rauh took over responsibility of search engine marketing at Yahoo! as Head of Search. Just two years later he was appointed Director Account Management and from October 2014 to September 2015 was responsible for the Display and Search Advertising budget in Germany. In October 2015, Rauh finally switched to Microsoft Germany. As Director Search Advertising, he manages the entire Bing Ads team for Strategic Sales in Germany. Carsten Rauh has a degree in media technology from Leipzig University of Applied Sciences and lives in Munich. He spends his leisure time hiking, skiing and motorcycling in the mountains.
